I have a history of running in the Saucony Xodus shoe, running the version 11 of this shoes through several ultra races. The Xodus 11 was discredited by many as being too heavy, and it was a heavy shoe coming in at over 300grams, but that did make for a stable and very comfortable ride over long distances.
So I was both nervous and excited when I heard that the new Xodus Ultra has gone on a big diet and was touted to be an excellent shoe for long distance. Little did I know how good and how popular this shoes was going to be in 2022.
